Our client  is a 70+ year old award winning multi-disciplinary firm (Architecture, Interiors, and Planning).   Projects  include numerous public and private sector jobs including Administrative, Academic, Corporate, Facilities Planning, Fine Arts, and Hospitality.

Gross Revenues – $2-$3 million annually.

Market Outlook/Competition:   The firm has been in business since 1934 and currently has two owners who are both in their sixties.  The company has a large portfolio of high-end design projects. The firm’s  office in the Southeast has been in existence since 1983.

Firm Type:  Civil/Structural

Location:  Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

Year founded:  1999

Type of Organization:  Limited Partnership

Summary of firm including services: 
Our client is a Civil/Structural and Forensic Engineering firm.  Headquartered in Dallas, the firm serves public and private sector clients.  Services include water, sewer, strett improvement, bridge design, and erosion constrol.

Gross Revenues:  $600K-$700K

Owner’s motivations:  The owners are seeking to be acquired by a larger firm that has the capital resources to help th firm grow and offer career advancement for the employees  including the owners who plan to stay with the firm  after the transaction takes place. 

Facilities/Property:  The company leases office space in Dallas. 

Market Outlook/Competition:  The company has  a stable backlog of public sector clients andis recognized as an excellent resource for erosion control services. 

 

Firm Type:  Environmental Consulting

Location:  Jackson, MS

Type of Organization:  S-Corp

Summary of firm including services:
Our client  is a multi-disciplined environmental engineering firm with a commitment to high quality and innovative engineering practices. Our client has developed an organization of professionals who are ethical, hardworking and dedicated to quality. Our client thrives on meeting its challenges and establishing long-lasting relationships with those we serve. The firm  serves a diverse range of businesses, industries, military and private concerns, as well as federal, state and local governments throughout the southeastern United States.  Clients include Fortune 500 companies, many of whom use our professionals to conduct or verify formal audit compliance procedures

Gross Revenues:   Approximately $1.7- $2 million

Owner’s motivations:   The firm Principal has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and environmental consulting industries.  As the sole owner and being close to retirement, he feels that a firm sale would be a good way to cash out his equity and prepare for retirement. 

He enjoys his work and is prepared to stay working after the firm is sold to make sure that the transaction is completed successfully.

Employees:  The firm employees approximately 20 people. 

Market Outlook/Competition:   The firm’s revenues have been stable with a solid backlog of private and corporate sector clients.  The firm also employees a number of seasoned scientists and engineers.

Market Outlook/Competition:  The firm has been in business since 1998 and has a good base of clients in a relatively mature industry (Landscape Architecture).  The economy has affected the industry, but long-term prospects for recovery are favorable given the attractive location and tourists that Aspen attracts.
